We  are a privately owned and operated restaurant that has proudly served  the our area since 1995. We are committed to providing you with creative  and flavorful dishes both traditional and beyond. In 1994 we took over  this 1947 vintage Pullman dining car. After its glory days as an elegant  railroad diner, this car had been retired from duty and was resting on  dead tracks in St. Paul, Minnesota. It was brought to life again in 1971  when it was moved to Richland, Washington and converted into a  respected tailor’s abode. In April of 1995 after six long months of  dutiful restoration by our own “train gang”, Monterosso’s Italian  Restaurant boarded its first guests. 

Today, our chefs, managers and servers make it a personal  challenge to make your dining experience delectable and enjoyable. As  many of you may know, Monterosso is Italian for “Red Mountain”, just  like our own Red Mountain here in the Tri-Cities. The name was chosen by  owner, Aaron Burks, after one of his favorite cities on the Northern  Italian coast. Monterosso is a beautiful pastel town situated on the  rocky coast of the Italian Riviera and is known for its delectable sweet  basil and scenic coastal views.
